Category

Woodburning stove

Pellet stove

Flame appearance

Natural fire charm.

Beautiful fire.

Background noise

Cracking and crackling of the firewood.

Quiet sound of the pellets being transported and gentle flow noises caused by the negative pressure generated.

Odour

Wood aroma.

No smell.

Replenishing the fuel

Firewood is filled and replenished by hand. The wood is transported from its storage location to the stove, e.g. with a basket. Some dust may be produced as a result.

Simple filling of the pellet tank which, depending on the model selected, will enable numerous hours of operation. (More details regarding the duration of the heating procedure can be found here). Pellets are replenished automatically during the burning phase. The pellet stove is also started up automatically by the push of a button.

Storage of the fuel

The firewood must be stored outdoors in a dry location. A condition for the drying process is a sufficiently large covered storage area (approx. 2 to 3 times the annual requirement), which is protected from above against moisture. The split wood is to be stored in a manner that allows air to pass through freely.

The pellets require a minimal storage space. 650 kg pellets is equivalent to approx. 1 cubic metre. Pellets must be stored in a dry location (e.g. in a basement) and can be purchased from your dealer in convenient pack sizes (sacks of 15 kg, 30 kg, etc.).

Details regarding the size of the stove's pellet tank can be found on the stove overview page.

Purchasing the fuel

Firewood is purchased from and delivered by local farmers, for example, in cubic metres. You are then responsible for stacking and storing the wood.

Pellets can be bought commercially, for example, from a certified pellet dealer. You can either purchase pellets by the sack (e.g. a 15 kg sack) or in bulk at a defined amount.

Handling and operation

The woodburning stove is fired up by hand. When doing this it is important to ensure the correct procedure is observed. (see "Heating correctly")

The pellet stove can be fired up automatically, even via a mobile phone.
