AT RIKA WE LIVE AND BREATH SUSTAINABILITY

Leading combustion technology, optimum use of resources

Nothing burns cleaner than wood.

People and trees are good for one another: Trees use CO₂ to grow and produce oxygen as a result. People need oxygen to live and convert it into CO₂. With every breath. Heating with wood also aids nature as well: The combustion balance is CO₂-neutral. This means that when a piece of wood is burned it releases the same amount of CO₂ that it consumed to grow. What is released is stored solar energy.

RIKA stoves: Maximum degree of efficiency with minimum emissions

We are only satisfied with the best: All RIKA models meet our very stringent requirements for environmental compatibility. Therefore the emission values generated by our stoves are often half of the applicable limit values, while the degree of efficiency far exceeds the guideline values. The stoves are inspected in accordance with the German Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) and Austrian Directive BVG 15a, which is one of the strictest in Europe. In addition, every RIKA stove also complies with the prescribed standards in all EU countries and all regional particulate matter regulations, such as those in effect in Munich and Stuttgart. Detailed information relating to the degree of efficiency and emission level can be found in the product details for every stove.

We achieve these optimum values through innovative technology and the use of selected materials: Rugged high grade steel, high-strength special cast-iron and high quality ceramic components can be found in every RIKA stove. For future-proof heating with all RIKA stoves!

The Austrian Eco-Label

In 2009 RIKA was awarded the Austrian Eco-Label for its woodburning and pellet stoves - this means the stoves fulfil the stringent requirements of the Eco-Label Directive for wood-fuelled heating appliances (UZ 37). We will not only continue to work on complying with these standards, but we aim to surpass them even further.
